Steven joined the Department in 1993 after holding previous appointments in Brazil and the USA. He is Professor of the Philosophy of Science and his teaching and research interests are, not surprisingly, in the philosophy of science and the history and philosophy of modern physics. He is currently on research leave, supported by a Leverhulme Major Research Scholarship.
